PATRIOT76LEUPOLD VX-7..whats the consensus
WHO has seen one?
I have a VX-7, 1.5-6x scope.
All I can say at this point is that it is very good compared to other scopes I own. The image is excellent.
I will compare it to a Schmidt and Bender 4x36 and a Swarovski 6x when I get a chance to do so. I'll set the VX-7 to the same power as the other to scopes when I do the comparison. I just received the S&B 4x36, and the Swaro 6x will be here next Tuesday.

Blair338/378Patriot76,
I looked at one to purchase and decided against it for 3 reasons. Pricey, and no illuminated reticle as standard. Didn't state what the range of adjustments were either.

JohnHuntA friend has a VX7 and a S&B. I compared both in a fairly low lit basement. The S&B was a the clear (and I mean clear) cut winner. There really was no comparison in light transmission.

PATRIOT76well i have seen a VX-7 2.5-10x45
I LOVED THE XT reticle
The image was excellent every bit as good as the swaro PH 2.5-10x42 that I have but with more eye relief and bigger eyebox.... GOOD SCOPE!
A couple of months ago in one of the local shops we were able to look through Leupy V7 Swaro 1.7-10 and a Kahles 3-9.
The Swaro was easily the best. For the money IMHO the Kahles is a better value scope than the Leupy. The Leupy looked all pinched up in comparison to the other two.
The shop manager has since told me that they sell 6 Swaro to every 1 Leupy.
I would not buy a Leupy V7 but I plan to get a Swaro Z6
