Merkel KR-1 scope mounting instructions in English. Having a probklem with what at first appeared to be an easy enough job. Rear lever will lock down front will not.
All lirerature I have is in German.

I just checked the KR1 manual on the Merkel website. It says: Remove the screw on the opposite side of the lever. Behind that screw there is supposed to be the set screw which controls the torque of the lever.
I guess you will have to loosen it some.

Job finished. Rifle is chambered for the 6.5x55 and I just put a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40mm on her. Merkel is a beautiful rifle, now to see how she shoots.
16* this morning, warmed up during the night but still chilly out side.
