VXR rifle scope
Anyone know anything about these?

I am looking to put one on my 375 for a buff, leopard and plainsgame hunt. i figure it will work well for a good riflescope for daytime stuff and if I need to shoot the leopard at night a push of the button and it will light up the crosshair for a shot at mr spots. Is there a better solution out there?

I'm looking at these pretty hard as well for varmint hunting in low light conditions. All the reviews I have seen are good, but not a lot of actual field experience with them, since they are very new. One thing is, you don't have to "hit a button" to turn the light back on, it has a motion sensor that turns the light off if the gun isn't moved for a couple minutes and it turns it back on again automatically when the gun is moved!

I am thinking it will be good for my Dangerous game rifle in 375 for all round hunting. Great for Buffalo and leopard is what I am thinking and it will still be great for plainsgame. I have read it is as good or better than VX 2 scopes so I would think they would still be fine for a big bore like the 375

Thats the same info I have found. I would think it would be awesome for leopard and fine for buff. If it was me, I would go with one of the lower powered ones though, dangerous game hunting isn't a long range deal or at least shouldn't be and anything that can go wrong on a buffalo will.

I have looked through a couple of them and they are a very nice scope. The optics are nice and the dot is a nice feature.

Thanks Jon. A bit interested in the 1,25-4 scope, would you recommend it for a lightweight 375 HH?

I think the 1.25-4x20 would be a great little scope for the 375HH.

I purchased a 3-9x40 that came in Tuesday. I've mounted it on the rifle and played with it a bit but haven't shot with it yet. I'm impressed so far and have no regrets. The dot has a wide range of intensities which should work for any lighting situation.

If you have any specific questions I'll be glad to do my best to answer them.
