With my minox binos, they are under a year old but have been used a little. where they hinge it has come a little loose. one side will drop if you hold the other and if you try to look through them with only one hand it is virtually impossible. would any of you consider this to be a major problem? optically speaking they are not "cross-eyed" and everything else seems fine. it does it worse on a hot day.

I was talking to a guy who had a pair of binos that did this and he never got them repaired, he said they only got worse and eventually when you looked through them the picture crossed over

Call Minox , they're in New Hampshire or Vermont, I believe. They gave me fantastic customer service, a 3 day turn around.

Edit: Sorry, just noticed that you are in New Zealand. I would call whoever warrantys them in your country.

yeah it is a bit of a bugger dont know that anyone here will actually fix them. i gave them to the shop i bought them from. apparently the owner doesnt really want to send me a loan pair, because then they have bought that pair. he think that because it doesnt affect the use of it then it doesnt justify loaning a pair out. i personally couldnt care less about the loan pair. It does affect the use of them, nearly everyday on a hunt you try to use them on handed, well i do anyway. you couldnt use them off a tri-pod.

they are waiting for a reply from minox and we are going to go from there... hopefully it doesnt get too messy over something trivial
