Price check-Zeiss, Swarovski
Have a chance to purchase a West German built Zeiss DiaVari-C 1.5x4.5x18,and a Swarovski Habicht Nova 1.5x4.5x20. Both are in excellent condition. Faint ring marks. He wants $650 each or the pair for $1200. I'm not looking to steal them just courious as to a fair realistic price.
Thanks !

Cameraland NY has the Swaro PH 1.25-4x24 for 750 right now and that is a far better scope than the Nova.

Can't speak on the Zeiss.

Personally, I'd pass because of the small objectives.

You can be as old fashioned as you want to be in good light, let the light get very dusky, late with clouds or dark and you'll probably wish you'd gotten decent sized objective lenses. The objectives don't have to be huge to vastly increase their utility, the 1.75x6x28 Leupold has decent light tranmission.
