weagleVintage Brass tube scope / Can anyone ID this one?
Does anyone recognize this Brass tube scope. Not sure if it's an original or a reproduction. The only markings on it are the the numbers seen in the pic. "MC 325 A" It's about 16" long.
Thanks,

Alberta CanuckYou might very carefully check the scope tube (particularly inside the objective and ocular housings and under the adjustment knobs) to see if there are ANY spots of black paint on the tube anywhere. That scope looks uncannily like one of the old Winchester scopes...or maybe the same scope after Lyman bought the rights to make and sell them. The Lyman series had various numbers, such as the 438-A, and (I seem to recall), the 325-A. They were excellent scopes, BTW, with B&L glass which at the time was some of the best in the world.
I uspect that MIGHT be one with the original black paint all removed. But then, what do I know.......? I definitely don't recognize the mounts, however.
