Centerpiont scopes
Does anyone have any experience with Cenetrpoint scopes, I just purchased a 4 x 16 x 40 for my Christmas present, a Weatherby Vanguard in 223 Rem. The scope is now mounted but I am forbidden to shoot the rig until Christmas. I just itching to shoot it. I already have the loads prpared for my range work before I go shoot critters. The scope was a bargain at $80 and it seemed to good to be true with adjustable windage and elevation and an adjustable objective and a mildot reticle. I'll let you know how it works on the 26th.

OK, here's the report, after the debackle of Cabelas sending me the incorrect bases, I purchased a set of Weaver bases and rings. Now all is right. After zeroing in @ 100yds I locked in the adjustable turrets and then proceeded to check the 1/4 minute click on the adjutment turrets and then back to zero and it works well. I am extremely pleased with the clarity and focus of the AO and eyepiece. I will soon be working on using the mil dot reticle at different distances. I couldn't expect more from an inexpensive optic and I would indeed recommend it to anyone. We all can't afford the so called "best" all the time, so for $80, this optic is all that I expected and more. Don't forget, it also has adjustable recticle illumination in red and green. This was the perfect optic medicine for this rifle.

Only question I have is does it hold its zero at different power settings?

I had a swift scope that I zeroed at 6 power and than when I changed to 12 power the zero "moved" about an inch lower at 100 yds. When I went back to 6 power it didn't return to the orginal zero, about 1/2 inch higher.

Now that's a good question, I will check that at the range this weekend and report the findings.
