MINI RED DOT
Has anybody tried the mini red dot that sells for $49 at CDNN ? It looks the same as the Burris Fastfire or Tasco Optima.
I wonder if they are any good for $49
My initial opinion, without even looking at the sight is "no", don't bother. Pony up and buy the real deal. My Trijicon RedDot sight will withstand 5g's of recoil on my 45LC with a 4-5/8" barrel when loaded with heavy 335 gr cast bullets running 1150 fps.
Well GSSP, a Trijicon is a little pricey for my .22, but I do have some Swarovski scopes for sale if you need to scope one of your .22's

sdeshazoI'm glad the Trijicon Reddot works for someone, I put one on my H&K USP & even after sending it back to Trijicon once still cannot get it to site in. Don;t get me wrong I love Trijicon scopes (love the one on my 375 H&H) but this little Reddot has yet to impress me but I'm still playing with it.
I got 2 of them in and they look preety good for the money. They do not have the auto shut-off that works with the cap, they just have an on-off switch. They seem to work well but the dot is kinda small for fast close shooting.Overall I would say a steal for $49.
Only time will tell if they hold up.
