Which rings?
I'm gonna make this simple, I have a savage 12fv and a nikon monarch 5-20x44. I plan on using warne maxima fixed bases and rings. Can anyone tell me which are the lowest rings that will support my new/first varmint rig. I can't seem to find them anywhere to test and I don't want to drive all over the county trying to find them (I'll be ordering them). You guys always seem to have the right answers and hopefully I'll get lucky with this.

Thanks

I would probably recommend going with the mediums. The lows may work, but it will be cutting it close.

I would suggest you the excellent Burris Signature rings; their synthetic inserts avoid any damage on your scope. Furthermore, if your scope is misaligned, you can correct the issue with the offset inserts.
