Economy Scope 3-9 for deer
Here's a short list of 3-9x40mm scopes in price order that I'm thinking about for 2 Daly Mausers in 270 and 300WM.
I looked at a Bushnell 3200, it's nice even with the euro style eyepiece.
I'm not familiar w/ Sightron and the Weaver grandslam's zoom ring is kind of ugly.
Why's the weight of the Nikon BM more than the others (steel).
What's your opinion?

Savage99The Leupold VX1's that I have are ok scopes for the money. Over at 24hr they have the best prices that I have seen for that brand. The thing is that the Leupold will have some resale value if you want to upgrade.
I would be tempted to try one of the new Simmons scopes if we could get them.
Leupold VXI 3-9x40 Matte Duplex
Code: LP56600
Price: $202.53
24 hrThe Monarch, VX2 and Grandslam are $65-140 more. I'll look at the VX-I.

HunterJimrichj,
I have four Pentax samples here to check out. They look like good examples of "cheap and cheerful" so far.
I suggest you take a look at them too.

adrookRichj,
Leupold VX I or VX II. I believe that the new VX I scopes are the same as the older Vari-X II, great scopes in their own right.

. Quality optics assembled for them by Burris with a Pentax Lifetime no fault warranty and the prices are excellent. Take some time to check them out.
