ArminiusWarne Rings?
On a German Forum I read, that Warne rings will not return to Zero, and the scope will shift over time, because the vertical split rings will "work" with de - and remounting.
I use mainly Warne, and have 2 Glasses for each of my hunting trip rifles, so I am concerned.
Shoult I use other Weaver type rings for my rifles?
Thanks in advance, Hermann

leemar28I have them on several rifles. Never had any problems at all. They are the older "Premier" QD rings.

ClaymanI've got these mounted on two rifles, both large bores, and have yet to have them shift. I can't honestly see how rings that robust would ever get out of whack. For my $$$, they're the best rings on the market.

ArminiusTHANKS!
Even if you occasionally remove and remount the scope, will the Warne rings grip the scope for sure?
I mean, they are split ...
I have a spare scope for my hunting rifles on ANY hunting trip I take. So this means both scopes sighted in and checked before the hunt. I like to have NOT the same scope as buckaup ... but slightly different: lighter or less magnification or without illumination.
