Warne Rings?
On a German Forum I read, that Warne rings will not return to Zero, and the scope will shift over time, because the vertical split rings will "work" with de - and remounting.

I use mainly Warne, and have 2 Glasses for each of my hunting trip rifles, so I am concerned.

Shoult I use other Weaver type rings for my rifles?

Thanks in advance, Hermann

I have them on several rifles. Never had any problems at all. They are the older "Premier" QD rings.

I use Warne rings and have not experienced a return to zero issue.

No problem with Warne rings and base on my .308 Win after 2200 shots.

3 shots do not make a group, they show a point of aim or impact.
5 shots are a group.

I've got these mounted on two rifles, both large bores, and have yet to have them shift. I can't honestly see how rings that robust would ever get out of whack. For my $$$, they're the best rings on the market.

THANKS!

Even if you occasionally remove and remount the scope, will the Warne rings grip the scope for sure?

I mean, they are split ...

I have a spare scope for my hunting rifles on ANY hunting trip I take. So this means both scopes sighted in and checked before the hunt. I like to have NOT the same scope as buckaup ... but slightly different: lighter or less magnification or without illumination.
