Nikon Premier Binoculars
Has anyone had experience with the Nikon Premier 10x42 binoculars?

Any input and comments would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Great binos! Also known as LX/HG's. They were "upgraded" a few years ago to LXL/HGL's, which were a little lighter in weight, hence the "L" designation, due to the use of lead-free "eco" glass.

Lots of people feel the optical quality of the original Premier/LX/HG's is better than the "L" version due to the leaded glass, but I've never compared them side by side. Also supposed to have lens chromatic aberration.

In short, the Nikon Premier/LX/HG's were their top roof prism binocular until the release of the EDG series. If you can get them for a good price, you can't go too far wrong. All Nikon sport optics are covered under the "No-Fault" warranty.
