jeffe, frequent poster on the hog hunting and big bore forums has a set of Nikons I believe. I compared them to my Pentax 10X42s and a set of Zeiss on a recent hog hunt and the view is fine. Can't vouch for durability though.

Where is there a DCF designation in the name for the Nikon Monarch ATB binoculars? Nikon surely doesn't use it.

If you are going to spend that much you had better also look at the Swift Audubon HHS 8.5x44mm. A much better binoculars for not much more.

Even the new Minox BL 8x42mm BR, also manufactured in China like the Nikon Monarch ATB, is much better and can be had for $250 at CameralandNY.
