Does anyone have any experience with the Leica Duovid 8 + 12 x 42 binoculars? If you have, what is your take on them? I know Leica makes good lenses, but does the “variable” ability have any negative influence on these binoculars?

I looked at these Binos, comparing them with several others.

They work great. Very clear at both power settings.

However I opted for the 8x42 Geovids as I wanted the built in rangefinder.

in any case take the new HD edition - it is worth paying more!!!

This is a dual power not a variable. It is either 8 or 12, you cannot stop inbetween.
