Redfield 2 piece screw in bases for Voere rifles
I am looking for some Redfield 2 piece screw in bases (same as Leupold) to fit a Voere Black forrest model 7000 rifle. I believe these were the same as the rifles marketed by Kliengunther. The front base is a little different. Instead of the 2 screws being inline with the barrel the 2 screw holes are crossways to the barrel. Apparanty these bases came with the rifles from the factory. Anyone have a set (or 2) for sale or know where I might find some ?? Thanks for any help and everyone keep well.

Because you say the bases are the same as Leupold, I assume you mean the STD type with windage adjustment.

If so, Burris also makes this kind of mount and the front one seems interchangeable with the Redfield bayonet/dovetail, though cone screws at the back are a different size.

Not sure if Burris makes bases that fit that particular Voere but if they do you could mate them with the Burris Signature rings (the best thing since sliced bread IMHO because the swivelling plastic inserts can solve problems of boresighting and scope bending with ease).

I guess I don't understand what you mean by the screw holes being cross wise to the barrel.

Or are you referring to the screw head slots being cross wise.

PDS If you look at most scope bases they have 2 holes. If you draw a line from one hole to the other it would be parallel to the bore. One these Voere rifles they have a flat top receiver and if you draw a line through the holes it would be at right a right angle to the bore. If you still don't understand goggle Voere Shikar rifles. There are a bunch of pics. enlarge the second pic in the top row and you can see the screws behind the front scope ring

And yes they are the STD type with windage adjustment on the rear base

I see the two front screw holes for the bases sit side by side instead being aligned with the center of the bore.

Yes. Redfield also made the 1 piece JR base for this rifle. It is the # 2130 base. I don't care for this base as it covers too much of the action and makes it difficult to load. So I am looking for the 2 piece bases for this rifle.

That's an interesting business, craigster. We have a similar one here that specialises in old Pecar and Kahles scopes, suggesting they had better glass.

They probably know that it was the reticle-movement that really made them better but are not game to say it because when the old stuff is gone they'll need to sell the crap that came after.
