I just purchased one of these great priced scopes at the Camera store and need to mount it on my SA Savage single shot round receiver. I am considering Weaver style ext. rings on Weaver 2 piece bases. According to the spec sheet on the scope I have .491", basically a 1/2" to cover with the rings and base but the chart only gives me .288 for the low mount ring dimensions and no information regarding the bases. I am also looking at the TPS one piece tactical base which appears to offer a tad more rise off the receiver or the Burris Extreme Tactical but still no concrete information. Can anyone direct me to where this information is published. I can figure it out for myself if I can just get directed to the proper data.


I have had other varmint rifles with 50mm obj. scopes fit w/o touching using med. rings.

Look at Kelbly rings and bases first.
