Three shops today (Bass Pro, Field and Stream and a local shop) looking for 1", dove-tail, rings with a gloss finish. None to be found. In fact I couldn't find any rings with a gloss finish. Didn't realize they would be so scarce. Ended up ordering them from MidwayUSA.

Yes, for older classic rifles, like Sauers, Weatherbys and Sakos, it is tough to find gloss scopes as well.

Very few gloss scopes available today. Picked up a sweet little 700 Mountain rifle in 7x57, found a nice old Leopold 2-7x with fine crosshairs and a gloss finish. I just needed the damn rings. Can't wait to get this rig set-up and out to the range. Hopefully Saturday.

How did Saturday go?

Didn't get out. My rings arrived today so I hope to get out by the end of the week. If the rifle shoots as good as it looks I'll be very happy.
