Thanks. I'm thinking about getting a 1-6x24 EE with the CD-I reticle for my mod 70 416 Rem.

Are the 1-6 a true ONE POWER?
Is there any plan to make a 12-24?

Got a pair of Z-6's from Doug, damn are they sweet. Doug was helpful, and shipping got em here just like that--awesome--thanks Doug. I'm not extremely technically knowledgeable about optics, but in my laymans terms, damn are they clear. I mean just everything you look at through them is really bright and clear.....

Maybe everybody already knows, but they have 30mm tubes, and just a side note, the crosshairs on the plex reticle are thinner than on the AV's that I have---I actually like that right now, I'll have to see what I think on game.

I'm looking forward to shooting the rifle I put mine on this weekend at the range!!

Hey Doug,

If Swarovski made this scope in a 1" tube format and didn't worry about having 6 "decades" of scope power change, about what would it sell for?

So if it was a 3-9X40 (about) for example?

I have felt that the 30 mm tube scopes are expensive to no good purpose, other than requiring more glass, etc.

Jim,

I'm with you on the 30 mm tube issue. I just bought a VX-7, 1.5-6x and it has a 30 mm tube. I don't like the 30 mm tube as it's not necessary, for any reason I can think of. All you get with that tube over a 1" tube is more adjustmant travel, which is not required with today's rifles for distances that I hunt anyway.
That 30 mm tube on top of a rifle detracts from having a good liking scope/rifle combo; it's just too big.

But, I am thinking about getting a Z6, 1.5-6x 24mm from Doug...Grin; Just for the good glass.

Jim,
The only real answer I can give to this inquiry would be info@swarovskioptik.us Give them an e-mail and see what they have to say.
I have given up on trying to understand European company's way of thinking. They have a different logic than I do.

Doug,

Thanks for the reply. I will send them an email, and see what comes back.

After attending a marketing focus group, I fully get what you say!
