SingleShotGuyLeupold 6x42
I have a couple of these 6x42's and have used them for over 20 years.
Not comparing it with the current $1000-2000 scopes of course, but it is impressive early mornings and late late afternoons.
Any members here use these 6's on their hunting rifles?

FjoldI have one that was mounted on a 22 rimfire but it didn't have enough field of view at rimfire distances so I swapped it out with a 2-7 variable.
I don't care for that much magnification for general hunting as I usually use variables at the 2X-3X setting and then dial up for longer shots.

rnoviI had one on a rifle in Africa - the three dot reticle. I built a 7mm Rem Mag load that perfectly corresponded to the dots out to 500 yards with a 200 yard zero.
Sadly, the biggest issue I had with the scope was that it was too much power under 30 yards. It was absolutely perfect though from about 50 yards on.

DoglegI've had a few, they were almost a cult item for a few years in some circles. It's a hard thing to describe but that are so easy to get behind, its like its hard to do something wrong. the term eye-box gets thrown around a lot. Glass and coatings being equal a fixed power always is a bit better optically. That's what happens when you aren't making compromises.
Mine all seemed to migrate to my son's rifles and my in-line muzzleloaders. For him it was my way of making his life simple. He still uses them and his variables are always left on 6 as well. For me; well I like my variables, exposed turrets and parallax adjustments
