Need Help Mounting a Barr & Stroud Rangefinder
I bought this some time ago and it has set in the basement. Now it's getting to be time to get it on a tripod for some (still in the future) PD hunting. Unfortunately, as you can see from the photo, the "mount" for it is two-bladed spade-like thingie.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I can mount it on a tridod?

Hi, not to sound negative but you are on the edge of a bottomless pit to throw money. You are going to have to get the unit calibrated and the cost of a tripond and yoke/adapter will take your breath away. Sell the rangefinder to a military collector and use the funds to buy a quality laser unit. Are you planning on shelling PDs with artillery?

Yackman makes a very good point. 15-20 years ago the B&S was the unit to have but modern technology, for the most part makes them very obsolete. Make better use of the money.
