Anyone have one of these scopes. I have a fixed 4x40 Buckmaster on my Howaby 300wby. I think I need a litle more scope for longer shots.

It this scope any good? Sure looked like a good scope at Sportsmans Warehouse today.

Anybody have one? What do you think about it?

Thanks

Zeke,

The Buckmaster series scopes are excellent scopes and hard to beat them for price. They are very clear and bright. I would highly recommend them. They are actually one of the high selling scopes by volume.

I just purchased that scope from Jon a couple weeks ago. I mounted it on a Kimber Classic Varmint chambered in 22-250. Although I have only fired about 25 rounds, it appears to be working very well and the quality and clarity is fantastic. For pricing and customer service, The Optic Zone is second to none. Lou

Bought it yesterday from Optic Zone. Paid the extra money to get it here faster.

Kind of embarrassed to admit I have had one for a couple of months. Still in the box, had plans to mount it on a .270wsm, replacing the Burris Fullfield II 3-9X ballistic plex, but have decided it would be better on a varmint rig. Trying to decide between a Savage, Howa or Weatherby rifle. I had looked at a number of scopes, and thought the Buckmaster 4.5-14SF was the best bang for the buck, even preferred its' clarity to some more expensive brands, incl. L, B, B and W. Looking forward to getting a rifle to mount it on. Can't wait to see how it works in the field.

Bullets are pretty worthless. All they do is hang around waiting to get loaded.

I have it's predecessor with the Adjustable Objective, not the side focus.

3 years and over 500 rounds of 300WSM hasn't hurt it a bit. Very nice scope and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

My understanding is that it is the Monarch except with single coated interior lenses, not multicoated throughout like the Monarch line.
