romanian bucurasti?
An aquaintance has a bucurasti 10 x 56 scope, he says is a russian sniper scope.. It is quite heavy which will go on my coyote gun fine.. There is a focus adjustment on the rear end and the parralex adjustment from 50- 1000 meters is on the front end.. moving forward from the rear of the scope is a brightness retical dial that is variable, then double external adjustment posts.. Probably metric.. The cross hairs have varrying sized hash marks for probably out to 1000 meteres.. The cross marks are varied so you can tell which one you are looking at, kind of like a tape measure.. Have any of you heard of the quality of this scope. And im going to be using it for varmits, will the strait 10x be a problem for that? I can get it for 200.00 dollars.. seems like a good deal? Will the meteric adjustments be a problem? dave

Yes but, who's going to fix it if it goes belly-up. And 10x isn't exactly over strong for little long range varmints. The metrics shouldn't matter once you find how many clicks move about 1" at 100y. Should be similar to either 4 or 8.

I.O.R - Valdada is, I understand, the name under which Rumanian scopes from Bucuresti are sold in the USA. Their US reps might be able to help you.

If it weighs a ton it's probably because the tube is steel, not aluminum. Why would metrics be a problem?
