Greasygrass1/2 minute Clicks ?
Is there any benefit in scopes with 1/2 minute clicks ? i have a Nikon scope on a 45/70 at 50 meters ,with the point of aim, i move it up one click its shoot high ,so take it down 1 click then its low ,it will not shoot to the point of aim. only High or Low of it ,which is annoying

GrenadierAre you planning on making head shots on locust with your 45-70?
At 50 yards 1/2 MOA is about 1/4" and at 100 yards it is about 1/2". Does it really matter if you are shooting 1/2" high or low at 100 yards? For a precision long range rifle it
might make a slight difference but at 800 yards, for example, 1/2 MOA is still only 4.2". Don't worry about it.

AtkinsonI don't think a 45-70 shoots well enough to recognize one click, at least I've never seen one that would...most or 3 or 4 MOA if that, as to accuracy..Id go with the high round and that will give you a flatter trajectory..A 30-30 for instance that's sighted in at 100 yards tends to drop to much for 200 yard shots and you break legs..sight it in 3 inches high at 100 yards, its dead on at 150 and 5 inches low at 200..A 45-70 should have simular trajectory.
