NavalukScope for CZ 375 H&H
Which scope with more than 6x power will fit in straight up talleys on this rifle. I know the Leo vxII 3x9 will and the Triji 3x9 but what else? It is difficult to find this measurement on the scope makers advertising/web info.

NavalukLWD,
Did you use Talley rings or the like? How much if any freeplay did you have to work with?

Idaho Sharpshooter2.5-8X Loopy in the Warne QD mounts.
The Warne medium is pretty low on all of mine.

Navaluk2.5-8 will not fit in Talleys and that was the question readers. Any one know where they spell out the tube length for scopes generally or nikon specifically? There should be a reference somewhere.

LWDI used the CZ rings, which are bomb proof, and had very little room to work. No more than a 1/4" and maybe less IIRC.

Idaho Sharpshooteractually, you might want to reread your post. The phrase "2.5-8X" does not appear.
Figure out what you want and check back with us.

LJSTake a look at a Zeiss 2.5x8 Conquest. It has about 6 inches of mount spacing to work with and is a nice scope for that rifle with 4 inches of eye relief.

jsl3170i just got my zeiss 2.5-8x32 and even thought it is not mounted yet, the clarity of the optics is noticeable. i am loking forward to it. bought it through a distributor who posts on this site for the stupidly low price of $319.00

What I asked for is 6x or better that will fit in straight up Talleys. You answer with a scope that meets my question but in Warne rings which is not what I asked.
LJS I am going to check out the Zeiss, thanks.

DentistIdaho, I was told the 2,5-8 leupold has not enough tube length to mount it on the CZ 550 magnum with the Warne QD mounts. Do we talk about the vari x3 2,5-8x36 ? Do you have a picture?

Idaho Sharpshooterso, sell the Talleys, it ain't like selling one of your children. Which is more important, scope or the mounts?

Idaho Sharpshooteryou guys got me!
So, I walk out to the gun shop and check my CZs. The 450 Dakota had a 1.5-5X in low CZ QD mounts. The 375H&H CZ has a 2-7X in medium CZ QD mounts. The 416 Rigby CZ has the in Warne medium. The 404 has a 2-7X, ditto.
They all fit with either the low or medium CZ mounts. So save yourself the hassle and get the Warne or CZ.

LJSI have a CZ 416 Rigby with Talley mounts. The distance from end to end on the rings is 5.535 inches. A Leupold 2.5x8 has a useable tube length of 5.2 inches and will not fit. I have a 1.5x5 straight tube on my gun for that reason. As I posted earlier, the Zeiss 2.5x8 will fit and I believe the VX3 Leupold 3.5x10 with a 40MM objective will also fit since it has 5.8 inches of clearance. The Zeiss will give you about 1/2 inch of latitude when positioning the scope for your eye. Good luck!

drwesThanks LJS,,,I was getting specs on the Leopold 2.5 by 8 and a few others and it was like 5.2 inches and need more, Thanks for the point in the right direction
