Scope for AR
I have a BM 20" A3 that is begging for a magnified optic for this coming sage rat season. I need help deciding between various mil-dot scopes:

1. SS 10x42 from SWFA Inc. (I already have one on my m21)

2. Sightron SI 3-9

3. Sightron SII 4.5-14

4. Nikon 4.5-14

5. IOR M2 4X with CQB reticle (illuminated reticle might be fun on skunks while working the ranch)

All of these scopes can be had for around $350 or less, offer a range estimating reticle, and decent magnification to appreciate the 223 round.

Thanks for the advice/comments.SS 10xSightron SI 3-9Sightron SII 4.5-14Nikon 4.5-14IOR 4x with CQB

I realize that there is a lot of mis-information on the net, But, I read a review from some "sniper...." .com website where they did a review of the Sightron SII mildot and found that the reticle was not correctly constructed. I was wondering if any one here has found this to be true....

I just put a Burris Signature Select on my AR. 3-10x40 with their excellent Ballistic-plex reticle. Got it from MidwayUSA.com for $376. The reticle has clear markings for 100, 200, 300 yds etc. I know that it is on with 55gr bullets out to 300yds, and that is as far as I've gotten to shoot. Give this scope a look-see. I think it was made for this application, and would work well in many others.

Anybody care to comment on how the Sightron II 4.5-14 with mil-dot might comapre to the Leupold PR 3-9 mildot ?
