taylorce1Good Bino's for $400 or less?
What do you guys use in 10X binos that cost around $400 or less? I've been using RB800 rangefinding binos for the last few years and I find the 8X32 glass lacking. It isn't that I can't find animals I just don't find them as fast or as far off as my buddies and their 10X binos. Most of my hunting partners use Nikon Monarch and Leupold green ring binos.
I've contacted Doug at Cameraland and he suggested Minox. I trust his recommendation, but I've no experience with this brand. They do fit in my price range as long as I buy one of the open box specials, may be a chance to buy better glass than I was willing to in the first place.
Since I'll have to go back to a carrying a set of bino's and a range finder I'd like them to be as compact as possible but with a 40-42mm objective lenses. Besides the Minox I've been looking at Leupold Mojave and Nikon Monarch ATB in 10X42.

Bob in TXTry to check out the new Monarch 3 ATB's in 10x42. They have 7%-10% better low light performance than the previous Monarch's (which was already good) and can still be had for $250 or less. I am using them this season. I still have my old Monarch ATB's too. Both the Minox and Leupold's you mentioned are good glass in this range as well.

lavacaDoug can get you the best deal available. I'll scrimp on a whole lot of things, but good boots and good glass aren't among them.
