BEWARE: counterfeit Leupold mark 4 scopes

I inadvertently bought one from a Swedish web-site. It looks great, but is definitely a copy. Leupold's web-site provides the red-flag warnings. be careful!!!

Conifer, I already know this is going to make me sound like an ass but why did you order an American made scope from a Swedish web-site?

That should have been your 1st clue.

..does NOT make you sound like an ass......I have bought MANY scopes.... Burris, Redfield, others....from same site with totally great results. The Swedes are dedicated hunters, and hunting items are sold and traded in considerable quantity. The language is a piece of cake to learn, and the Swedes are the most polite and gracious I have yet encountered in all my international web-spending. The fault was my own; I missed the seller's added cautionary comment regarding the scope's possible illegitimacy.
