CrobertsLeupold 8.5-25X 50 Focusing questions
I reacently purchased a Leupold 8.5-25X 50 and I was wondering if I could get some tips for focusing the eyepiece. It is my first Leupold and compared to my previous Zeiss scopes it is hard to get right.
What suggestions do you all have?
Thanks,
Croberts

Rick 0311The easiest way I have found to focus the eye piece (reticle) is to use clear sky for a back ground. Look at the sky and then quickly glance into the scope. The reticle should appear sharp immediately. Just adjust the eyepiece in or out until the reticle “pops†into focus as soon as you look into the scope.
If you don’t have a clear sky substitute a light colored wall or a sheet of paper. If you have other objects visible through the scope when you do this it confuses your eye and makes the process much less accurate.
