Skinner.Nickel Scopes
Does anyone have any experience with
Nickel Scopes ? And ordering one from Germany to the US.
I was looking at their site and they show a
Nickel Supra 4x36 that looks like a hell of a scope.
Priced at 503 Euros or US$ 717, minus the 19% VAT for us non Euro types and it's $580.
Not bad if it's on par with Swarovski.
I like fixed 4x's for my go to killing rifles and there seems to be a shortage of high end fixed 4x's.

505EDNickel uses a merchant broker that a lot of credit card companys will stop payment so that is kind of a pain in the ass.
Nickel scopes are excellent I have one and it is a gem. I tried to order 2 of the nickel magnum scopes. My credit card company stopped payment. I fought with them a bit but just have not got back to do it.
They charge about 55 euros to ship so you might want to order 2 to cut cost.

McFoxNickels aren't bad, but they don't live up to Zeiss V's or Svaro's. Nothing special really.

robthomI have a Nickel / Gerhardt 4x36.
It is a good scope. Comparing the view alongside my Schmidt & Bender (German) 6x42 and 4x36 scopes, I would say the Nickel is the same quality as the S&B.
The newish Smarvoski Professional, PF, scopes are very good. I had alook through a Scottish Stalkers 6x42 PF on dark, dirty late afternoon. The optical quality / performance was excellent.
To my subjective eyesight, I am not sure whether the Swarvoski 6x42 was better than my S&B 6x42, but they are both close to eachother. Many say the colours are truer in the Swarvoski and, as such, it is the better scope.
