chainmil dot hold over
I have a 4.5 X 14 mil dot scope. I have the values of the dot spacing on a chart with true mildot calibration being at 14 X. My question is that distance is given is at 100yds. Do I multiply by 3 for 300 and by 4 for 400?

Dot to dot is 36 in. @ 1000 yards.
3.6 inches at 100, 7.2 in. @ 200 yards, etc.

sscoyoteIf u wanna match it up to a ballistics program u probably oughtta convert inch per hundred yds. (IPHY) to minute of angle (MOA) since that's the value that most programs calculate drop in. MOA = IPHY/1.047 or 1 mil = 3.44 MOA, 2 mil = 6.88, etc.
