Savage_9915X in a binocular would be almost impossible to use.
The field would be small, the motion .......
Maybe switch power 7-12X but not 15.

secondtryI have a Minox 15 x 58 ED BR, Made in Japan.
Excellent value at round one quarter the price of 15 x 56 Swaros. Clearly not as good optically as the Swaro (I have both and have checked), but not far behind, particularly considering the saving.
15x is just usable without a tripod if you can jam them against a tree and get yourself pretty steady, but they are way more effective, and you see things much more clearly, with a tripod.
Tripod adaptors can vary from model to model, so you are best to check for the exact model that you are considering. My Minox came with an adaptor, but unsurprisingly, the Swaro adaptor is a bit better.

Blair 338RUMI had a pair of 15x56 Minoxs.
Completely usable without a tripod.
Very good value.

LouMOlbiker,
According to the description on cameralandny website you can mount the Minoxs on a tripod. I was not able to tell if the mount was included. I would check on that. Perhaps the tripod just screws into the bottom?
I am somewhat of binoc snob (Zeiss (2), Swaro, B&L, etc.) but here's another idea:
I got a pair of Nikon ATB extremes in 16x50. I have been very happy with them. They came with the tripod mount. I use the tripod about half of the time, they are hard to hold steady unless you are resting on something. They're made in china, but probably a third the price. Same weight, but the Nikons are wider due to the more traditional design.
I have no connection with CameralandNY or Nikon.
I love binoculars! Leicas are next if I somehow run into a bunch of money.

Maybe you should try some, before knocking them. I have a pair of 15X56 Swarovski that I like very much, especialy for antelope hunting.

S. TexanI have a pair which I purchased from CameraLand. They worked well for a couple years, but I just sent them back to Minox as they lost their collimation. Probably not using the term correctly, but the symptom was that I could not get both eyes to focus. My guess is that some of the increased price of the Swaros and other higher priced binos go towards more sturdy construction, and my Minox's were bumped enough to knock them out of true. I think they are a good value for the money
