Kahles 2X ?
Anyone able to tell me about this K Kahles scope? It has a 26mm steel tube, P-CH reticle, good light transmission. On the top of the ocular tube it says HELIA-Super Then KKAHLES over Wein , then 2S2 Nr.78684 . I am mounting it on a 27XX serial numbered 46 Husky in 9.3X57. It gives an amber tint to the image and has the obvious Blue/purple of coated antireflection coatings on the lenses. I used it on the Savage99 .358 for a season and liked it. Any comments as to the time it was made and marketed, quality, etc. Thanks in advance. Packrattusnongratus

All I know is that it is a top German brand and it should last longer than you will. If not it should be worth repairing.

PS Um, Austria, but close enough. Smiler

Thanks for the comment. I probably paid market price. As a tightwad it hurt but the quality is obvious as I look at it. It is a chore to get it on my 46 Husqvarna though. The rings are scarce here to fit it to a Weaver base. I need to find medium height Weaver rings or maybe Leupold will make a pair of QDW rings for me. Thanks Packrattusnongratus

I wanted higher 26 mm rings for Weaver bases also and found that the Burris Signature Zee rings with the plastic inserts will close over a 26mm tube easily and close plenty far enough as well.

Now even the "low" Signatures are "high" so I hope something like this will work.

You might also just call some old gunsmiths and see if they have a set of higher Weaver 26mm rings.

Anything for a fellow .358 Win afficiando.

Are the Burris Signatures a Weaver style ring? I don't remember. Thanks Packrattusnongratus

The ones that are called "Zee" are Weaver.
