Advice on laser for Glock 17
I’m looking at getting a Crimson Trace Lasergrip for my Glock 17, but undecided on weather would prefer front or rear activated. Any advice on which is better and why?

I have a CT LaserGuard mounted on my Kahr CW45, and I prefer it to grip-mounted lasers.

It is always on when the gun is in your hand. Some grip-mounted lasers require a specific grip to activate the laser.

This might not be what you want to hear but I have to though my 2 cents in.

The laser is a cool tool for placing your shots but is usless in a gunfight. What if the target is wearing red? Now you have become accustom to seeing that little red dot before you pull the trigger and you will naturally pause to look for it.

Its is like using a GPS unit over a map and compass. Get that laser but practice as much without it as you do with it.

Based on that premise, an opponent could defeat any sight simply by wearing the same color clothing as the back side of the front sight.

The dot from a laser is brighter than any cloth.

I like the Viridian Matchpoint Series built for specific guns. A bonus is the green dot will really show up on the bad guys red shirt. Big Grin
