I'm looking for a good buy on a spotting scope to be used up to 300yds on a range. I have a fixed 20power, but its no good for 300yd targets with .284 cal bullets!
Can someone recommend a reasonably priced scope to be used with eyeglasses for those 300yd targets? I'd rather spend the big bucks on upgrades to rifle scopes!Thanks

If you already have a tri=pod, then my choice would be a Leupold/Wind River. You can find them for less than $300. IMO, you don't want to go any LESS expensive than that. Glass quality takes a nose-dive VERY quickly below $250. The Leupy can discerne .22 cal holes @ 300 yards, so with the right back ground color, you should be able to make out .284 holes.
