Butler Creek Riflescope Covers
I wanted to purchase the flip open type for my Swarovski riflescopes and wanted to ask if you had to remove the rubber eye protector from the ocular bell in order for them to slip on or do you measure with this piece on? Also, does this type of scope cover interfere with the rotational focus?

Thanks

Craig

1) No, you don't need to remove the rubber piece on the ocular.

2) See #1. Wink

3) Yes, you will need to focus your reticle first, then slip the BC cap over the ocular.
And, if you have an AO, the BC cap will turn as you adjust parallax.

The best way to "shop" for BC caps is by taking the scope with you to a place that has an ass load of different sizes of them.
The boxes open up without destroying it, allowing you to make sure your caps fit right.

My only problem is that I do not have anywhere to try and fit these. I noticed Cabela's size chart for these and scope cover order numbers associated with each scope, but are they accurate? I'm trying to fit a Swarovski A-series 3-9x36mm, Swarovski A-series 3-10x42mm, Kahles American 2-7x36mm and a Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44mm.

You can call Midway or Natchez, give them the model scope you need covers for, and they will handle it for you.

No they're not accurate. The swaro Nova 6x42 occular size is way wrong.

Best to fit at the shop. You can often go one size smaller on the occular (with a dab of spit - don't let the shop see!) which prevents it being pulled off and lost in the field (been there done that).
