don't think they made the VXII in gloss. I have several of the Vari X II in gloss, but not selling them.

Yeah, gloss is hard to find in late model scopes. I'm not at all sure why the fashion swung so hard to the matte finish. But I'll bet if you hang around long enough it will swing back, at least part way.

I picked up all of the Leupold Century models that I could while they were availalbe because (1) I liked the reticle, (2) they were a bargain compared to the identical scope in a VX-II, and (3) the gloss finish and gold appointments look really sharp on a rifle with a glossy finish like a Deluxe Sako or older Weatherby.
