JGRaiderI've got one, and used it extensively last Fall. I've never liked or trusted any of the Leupold rf's until this one. I've had a leica crf, and swaro lrf and they were both great, but had their own issues. This 1000i is as good as anything I've ever used, and better than all but the Swaro. I get consistent ranges out to 8-900 on deer, and much farther on trees, etc. Far enough for me. Even in challenging light conditions. It's a winner in my book. FWIW, the Swaro's aiming circle was much too big for my tastes, and therefore got alot of false readings because the area it ranges is very big.
