Johnny foreignerNew Scope
I do a fair bit of Varminting over a lamp and I want a quality 4-16 or there abouts scope that will not way a ton.
It must be second focal plane, either a Plex or 4/4A/7/7A type reticule, no oversized and uncovered turrets.
Excellent light gathering and parallax, preferably side focus.
I have tried 4200s and find the FOV too narrow. I got rid of a conquest because of the silly turrets. I found the Nikon Monarch optics actually very poor in comparison to a Sig select.
The obvious answer is either the Swaro or S&B, but these are too expensive.
Black diamond, Leupold or anything else???

Joe MillerNightforce, no question about it. But the Burris Black Diamond is a very close second.

Paul from nzid agree with joe miller. you pretty much summed up a nightforce in your discription of what you want. a 5.5-22X56 NXS would be nice. the varmint series, atleast thats what i think they call it has as n adjustable objective, and not the side parralax. also the FOV is smaller on a varmint one
