age of zeiss diavari

Anyone can tell me the age of a zeiss diavari 3-12X56? it says west germany on logo. serial number 455978.

Well German reunification took place in 1990. Don't know if they marked them West Germany after that. Sometime in the 90's Zeiss started making those in the USA. Then around 2000 more or less they went to the Conquest line in the USA assembled scopes.

What are the complete markings on the ocular housing?

For example: Diavari Z.

Thanks for answers!
I dont have the scope in my possesion, so I will look at it again when I visit the one who owns it now, its for sale but I think I will pass, it has a "rail" under it so I can not use it with ordinary rings.
But the owner doesnt know the age.
