ZephyrSpotting Scope, Angle vs Straight
What is your preference and why??

Savage_99When the ocular is on the end of the scope you can only look along that tube.
When it's at an angle you can turn the scope in the tripod to any angle!
If a large 80mm scope is ok I prefer this Konuspot 80 for it's resolution and value.

Jason PAngled. Less tripod adjustment. It does not take long to get used to.

butchloci've had both and just couldn't use to using the angled one on anything but target shooting. just i just wanted to look straight at what i want to see, instead of looking in another direction

farbedoAngled when I am hunting and perched on the side of a mountain. It is just more comfortable for me and easier to use if you don't want to get out a tripod.
Straight for shooting and spotting from a vehicle. I mount my scope using a window clamp to spot from the truck.
So, I have two scopes. One 80mm straight, and one 65mm angled.

Rub LineAngled, Kowa TSN-1. I couldn't imagine trying to use a straight through spotting scope.
