Bryan Chickleica rangefinders
I am planning to buy a leica rangefinder and I see that there are two types: the 1200 laser scan @ about $500 and the 1200 compact @ almost $700. Has anyone used these or have any opinion regarding the 50% difference in price

KC CarlinI have the 900 laser scan, which is the same size as the 1200. I haven't seen the 1200 compact yet. Mine fits quite nicely on my backpack belt, I dont even notice it. They work great, I dont think I personally would pay extra for a compact. However if you are hunting with everything on your back every ounce can count...
