Please tell us all of their track record. I've never heard of them. Are the scopes actually made in Wisconsin?

gr8fuldougNo, scopes are made in Asia (same as most) and their customer service is superior +

homebrewerI saw these for the first time at the 2006 RMEF show in Reno. I liked what I saw. I can't remember if they had a mil-dot model or not. Just a bit before I saw these scopes, I looked through a Schmidt-Bender 5-25X PM II. Best thing through which I have ever looked. Too bad it cost $2900. The S-B was also the first FFP I had ever seen. I wanted one, but not at that price. At one of the Hilton shows the next year, I found a Vector Optics 10-40X, mil-dot, side-focus, illuminated FFP for $400 that does the job really well. Love that FFP design-- oh, yeah...
Doug,
Is it true that Vortex is going to release a "Razor" series rifle scope?

Michael A. GlassLads,
Posted this a few threads down - guess it more properly belongs here. Note: this is not a flame, I am asking some very serious questions.
To whit:
Glad to hear the good reports on the binocs. However, whom amongst you has also bought a scope?.
I have to admit I purchased a Vortex 1.5X4X32 and have some problems w/it. Optical quality is excellent, mechanically it seems rock solid - "shooting the square" w/a 22lr showed it to be perfect re/consistency.
However, the eye relief is truly "critical". Rapid target acquisition was very difficult. This was true at all power ranges. Thought I haven't actually measured it, moving your eye slightly off-center causes you to lose the image. Move too far off-center on any scope and, of course, you will lose the sight picture. This one just seems excessively narrow in it's field of view. Would a 40+mm objective perform better???
It is mounted on a Savage 24 22hornet/20mag and will be used primarily for sitting snowshoe hares, solidly rested for coyotes and properly choked for turkeys. All very controlled shooting. This sight does not seem at all suited for "snap shooting".
I'm not planning on turning it into a paper weight, just thought I'd pass along my experience and see if any others have had similar.

sharpsguyI have the Vortex Crossfire 3x9 by 40mm on both of my Model 70's, a 30-06 and a .223. Couldn't be happier with them, no problems of any kind. The illuminated dot reticle is magic in low light.
