mhoNew Range Finding Scope from Burris
www.burrisoptics.com/newfor2006.htmlHas this already been discussed?? I have been waiting for a long time for something like this - affordable and not prohibitively heavy. The older Swaro model with an integrated range finder was an absolute first. But it was neither very affordable nor practical...
Now all we need is a Leupold (or a Zeiss Conquest!) scope with the same range finding features. And if I can dream some more, a scope into which you can input trajectory data, and have the scope indicate holdover (projected crosshairs?) automatically. It may sound like a Dick Tracy device, but I doubt it will be long...

MontMikemho, there already is a scope like that. I can't recall the maker off the top of my head, but it does everything that you mentioned. It also has some other features such as multiple reticles that a downloadable from a computer. I'll have a little time this afternoon and I'll try to track it down.

Elcan is producing a scope that is literally a digital video camera with a computer memory. It doesn’t have a laser ranger finder that I am aware of but the reticle is ballistically adjusted for dead on holding automatically through downloadable ballistic info stored in its memory.
All a bit too esoteric for me I’m afraid since I’ve never seemed to have a problem using “normal†scopes that don’t need a 200 page instruction manual (written in five languages) or a college degree to operate.

Critter_KillerHow bout a scope that does all the above. Holds zero if dropped off of a cliff. Bulletproof scratch proof. And adjusts reticle after 1 shot at sight in so u dont have to fire all those expensive bullets at paper. (ok heres the sarcasm)- And bends light away from user to render hunter invisible, noiseless and has x-ray optics. a gps that shows where the animals are too. WE MUST ALWAYS DREAM!!!!
