HammerWeaver shotgun 4X scope
Saw where Natchez Shooters Supplies had the Weaver 4X shotgun scope on sale -- regularly $245 but on sale for $100.
This is a fixed power 4X, dual-X reticle, 50 yard parallax set, and supposedly long eye relief (not a pistol scope).
Wonder is this might make a good scope for the heavy kicking big bores for close work and good eye relief ?
Or even for working up loads on a big bore though iron (open) sights might be used in the field ?
Many of us prefer iron sights for this sort of thing, but some of us are older than we used to be and a scope might help us a little.
Wish it was a little lower magnification. An elephant at 40 yards with 4X might be a little much.
