Repaining European scopes, both externally and internally
I have a number of older European (chiefly German) scopes which I enjoy using. Occasionally they require internal repair, but more often it's the exterior which needs a touch-up. This is particularly true of light weight scopes with rails, which invariably have holes drilled in them to accomodate the mount for a particular rifle. I would like to find someone or some company who is able to repair these scopes by stopping up the holes and refinishing the exterior.
Can anyone recommend such a service in the US?

Good suggestion. I had thought they serviced the optics only, but I had a conversation with the owner and discovered that that is not the case. They are not cheap, and I will have to give some consideration to how much I want to spend on this project.

Thanks!

You have opened a can of worms..I will never send a optic to Europe or out of the states again..regardless of how good they are..too many horror stories..
