Leupold 1.75-6x30mm E Scope
Is there something special about these scopes? I have one on an AR, but have seen asking prices near $500 for them. What gives?

Biebs,

They've discontinued some of their lower priced low-power scopes, so maybe folks are anxious to pick them up?

Biebs,

Did you mean 1.75-6X32 with a 30 mm tube?

No, it's a 1" tube.

Vari-X III 1.75-6X32 (30mm's a typo) E-extended tube length don't sell at 500-ish. Might be scarce, not necessarily in demand. Value $300-ish ish my guess.

Yes, I meant 32mm, with a 1" tube. Maybe the high-priced ones I saw were 30mm tube scopes.

No. They are all 1 inch. There's a as new one on Eby right now with 1 bid at $500 plus $20. Does seem high for a Vari-X. Maybe the Vari-X's are being collected now. The E's might be scarce?

The E means extended length tube. I guess the regular ones are hard to mount without extension rings.

I know the E tube is longer than the original tube and from what I found online (unverified), is the E is the same length as the VX-III which is priced about the same. Why not just buy a VX-III? Hmmm.
