Question for Jon Jakoviak
Did Leupold change the Wind River Cascade series of binoculars?? I thought that previous to the Green Ring Cascades that they were phase coated and fully multicoated. Now it looks like you have to move up to the Olympic Series to get that feature. I did a side by side comparison of the Nikon Monarch ATBs and the Cascades last fall in Sportsmen's Warehouse and to my eye, the Leupolds were much clearer. I was hoping to buy a pair but looks like things have changed with the Cascade line. Thanks.

bowhuntrrl,

No the cascades were not phase coated. As you have stated the first line to be phase coated was the Olympics. To be honest, if last fall you looked thru a Monarch and the Cascade and noticed the Cascades were better, I think you may have been looking thru a bad pair of Monarchs. But that is just my opinion.

Previous to this year the Wind River Cascades were not phase-corrected. The new Wind River Cascades are phase-corrected.

Jackfish,

That is correct. The Wind River Cascade binoculars are now phase-corrected.

Thank Fish for finding out. I did not know they upgraded them this year.
