odd bushnell scope
I have a Bushnell Custom-M 3x9 vari-power scope. It came off my sporterized mauser. It has mounts integrated right on it instead of scope rings that ajust kinda like a weaver base. It mounted to the gun over 2 studs that were soldered into the reciever w/set screws on either side. Anybody know anything about these scopes?

They were a short-lived design that Bushnell marketed for a time as a replacement for scope rings. Theoretically, you just bought the right base for your gun, then used the Bushnell scope with its integral mounts to clamp to the bases.

It at least had the positive feature of never allowing the scope to be mounted in a canting position Smiler. Outside of that, it didn't have much else going for it.
