nash22Weaver K4 4X scope
Are these scopes good. Looking to replace a scope on an old sporterized 8mm Mauser. Would like to keep about same vintage that was on it. Am looing at some older Weaver scopes on Ebay.

StonecreekYes.
Their "brightness" or clarity may not match currently produced scopes, but they are plenty "clear" enough and have tough and reliable innards. Besides, they "look" right on a gun from the middle of the last century.

George SemelK-4 Weavers back in the day was about as good as it got, I had an old K-3 Weaver on an 7mm-08 Remington 700 when it first came out, It was and still is a good way to go. I am aways looking for old K-4's and K-3's long with long tube 4x and 6x Leupolds. 3x Leupolds are great if you can find one. Vintage Rifles should wear Vintage Glass that is forsure.

Dr. DucThe optics are not as bright as modern glass but the steel tube 4X Weaver is almost indestrucable. I just put one with a post reticle on my 416 Rigby.
