The old windriver 10X40's don't seem like enough anymore. Am looking at the 12X42 Nikon Monarch and the 12X45 Zeiss Conquest. How do they compare besides the obvious difference in price? Anyone looked through both of these? jp

The Zeiss Conquest are hands down better than the Nikon Monarch ATB's. Are they worth more than 2 times the price versus the quality. That is a very tough questions. The Nikon Monarchs are a great binocular and very hard to beat for the price. They are actually one of the best buys for the money in my opinion, but those Zeiss are pretty darn good binoculars.
